2008 Elections Candidate List for Botany
The Botany electorate is a new South Auckland electorate created to take account of population growth in the area. It is made up of parts of the former electorates of Clevedon, Manukau East and Papakura. The electorate extends from Botany Downs and Cockle Bay through to East Tamaki Heights and south to Flat Bush. As this is a new electorate, there is no sitting MP and there are no results from the last election.

1)Labour- Koro Tawa 2) National- Pansy Wong 3)Progressive- Racheal Cheam 4) Green -Peter Cooper 5) Kiwi - Simon Kan are all list candidates- that means even if they are not elected, their parties have given them a backdoor entry to Parliament- do you agree with this type of surpassing the verdict of electorates?
This allows voters only 3 candidates who will be decided by their votes 1) Raj Subramanian (Independent) 2) Kenneth Wang (ACT) 3) Judy Carter (United Future) What would the two candidates representing the parties do after the elections? Will they come and ask the voters for all decisions or will they ask the Party to decide?
Your real candidate who will enable E-Voting on all issues Who will not be bound by any party loyalties is Raj Subramanian.
The parties have really given you only two people who are not considered for list.
But E-Democracy has given you a candidate who will list all of you in his E-Polling platform. The choice is yours,
Do you want to vote for the party candidates who wouldnot even care about your votes as they are in the list? or Do you want to vote for the candidate who really care about you?
